Stranger Thinks Haunted House
For Halloween 2016, I was part of a small group of Thinkwell employees that created a haunted house and VR experience in the office for employees of Thinkwell and neighboring businesses. The haunted house was a Thinkwell-themed parody of the TV show, Stranger Things. To introduce the live haunted house and its characters, we also created a (very cheesy) parody "trailer" of the show (above). Yes, I played "Eleven".
My responsibilities included writing and co-directing the parody video, designing and programming show control for the walk-through, and creating the 3D environment for the VR experience.
The show control system used 2 Crestron controllers for foot sensors and handheld triggers held by performers. It also had 5 custom Unity programs acting as media playback. The VR experience was a Unity / Vive program that involved multiple "4D" effects, operated by a lively performer in the room.
